Mountain View Cemetery Burial Index attributes

  • PersonID: Unique identifier of the deceased individual related to the interment.
  • LastName: Last name of the deceased individual.
    Note: “PRIVATE” value exists to provide privacy protection. See Note section for details.
  • FirstName: First name(s) of the deceased individual. When first names are not known or recorded, other conventions such as (Baby), (unknown) may be used. Additionally, for many common names a number may follow the first name to enable distinction (i.e., SMITH, John (1), SMITH, John (2), …).
    Note: “PRIVATE” value exists to provide privacy protection. See Note section for details.
  • MaidenName: Maiden name of the deceased individual. Additionally, for many common names a number may be used or added to follow the maiden name to enable distinction

  • Alias: Alternate name which the deceased individual may also be known as.

  • Age: Age when the deceased individual died.
    Note: Age “0” or “-1” may indicate age information is not available.
  • AgeType: Measuring unit that corresponds to the Age attribute for this specified record. This field may be blank to indicate there is no age information.
  • DateofOBirth: Date of birth for the specified individual in yyyy-mm-dd format.
    Note: This field accepts partial date. For example: 1904-mm-dd.
  • PlaceOfBirth: Location where the deceased individual was born.
    Note: this field may be blank if the related information is not available.
  • DateOfDeath: Date when the individual passed away. This field is in yyyy-mm-dd format.
    Note: This information was not recorded between 1964 and 2004. This field may be blank if there is no information available and this field accepts partial date (i.e., 1904-mm-dd).
  • PlaceOfDeath: Location where the specified individual passed away.
    Note: this field may be blank if the related information is not available.
  • DateInterred: Date when the individual was buried. This field is in yyyy-mm-dd format.
    Note: This field may be blank if there is no information available. In addition, this field accepts partial date (i.e., 1904-mm-dd).
  • ReferenceNumberInter: ID of funeral home or system reference number.
  • DateDisinterred: Date when the deceased individual was disinterred from site. This field is in yyyy-mm-dd format.
  • ReferenceNumberDisinter: Unique identifier of the cemetery document related to this disinterment or system reference number.
  • Destination: Information on where the deceased was sent to if it is not re-buried at the same cemetery.
    Note: This field may be blank if no information is available.
  • SiteFullName: Location where the grave is located. There are typically 5 fields used to describe a grave (Section - Range - Block - Plot - Lot). The"-" is used to separate these values. All graves have a section and lot value; some may have a range, block and/or plot value. If the information is not available then * is used. Additionally, some lots also have a disc number which is referenced in brackets at the end (i.e., HORNE2-*-10-028-0013 (417). In many cases this disc number is cast in concrete and placed at the end of the grave site).
  • Latitude: Latitude of centre of grave site. Follows World Geodetic System 84 (WGS 84) standard. Latitude is measured from the equator in degrees, with positive values going north and negative values going south.
  • Longitude: Longitude of centre of grave site. Follows World Geodetic System 84 (WGS 84) standard. Longitude is measured in degrees from the Zero Meridian (which is the longitude that runs through Greenwich, England), with positive values going east and negative values going west.
